Our Casa - Welcome!
We've been promising to send/show photos of the "new" house since we moved in a year and a half ago, so here's my chance...
The original part of the house is a 90ish year-old adobe, but it's been added on to over time (in the 50s, 70s, and 80s, we think) so kind of rambles. That's just character, right? After several additions, an interior courtyard was eventually completely surrounded; sometime about 25 years ago, the previous owners added a hot tub and put a roof on the room. The tour starts there, and moves on to other semi-finished rooms, with before and afters thrown in where I think they add anything. If you're not interested in houses - or at least not this one - you can skip the next several posts because that's what they'll be about!
(Oh, and the exterior shot above is from fall 2005. We've recently replaced all the windows; they're red, so it looks quite a bit different, but haven't snagged a pic since...)

Thanks for the kudos, Jesse. Yep, paint is key for us because it's cheap and makes a huge difference... Just takes time - luckily my billing rate is $0 around the house :0)
