Normally I get about as much enjoyment from going to baby showers as I do from a trip to the dentist... I like babies, and I'm excited for the parent(s)-to-be having them, but all the relay games and excitement over Diaper Genies and the hundreth pair of itty-bitty socks I could do without. BUT, now that Shawn and I have been spoiled with a couple showers for our own kidlet, I completely admit that they are a ton of fun when you're the honorees (yes, I know how hypocritical that is)!! Getting stocked up on baby gear is cool, but the best part is being surrounded by people who are excited for us and full of good wishes (and sometimes advice, which we can definitely stand to listen to!). Awesome feeling. So thanks to everybody who participated in the family shower over Thanksgiving, and to all our friends who came to help celebrate with us on Saturday. You guys rock, and totally made our days :0) Amelia
