Christmas Through a Child's Eyes
This year's Christmas was the best I've ever had! First let's talk about the start of the day. Rather than my normal yogurt and cereal, I got to start the day out with PURE SUGAR... that's right, my own Christmas Tree Peep. Let me tell ya, that green dye ain't coming out of anything I touch all day. Sugar high baby, SUGAR HIGH!
Oh ya, then came the cool part where I got to dig through this huge sock. You can see the green tint on my upper lip appropriately coordinates with said huge red sock. Anyway, there was all kinds of cool stuff like: a Cat front end loader toy, crayons, a coloring book...
Santa really knows his stuff. Somehow he knew that I really like trains. My new coloring book and pajamas were even about trains. Now I can hone my mad coloring skills on this new coloring book. Santa even knew I'd need the washable crayons in case I went a little out of the lines (AKA - when I went off the book and onto the ottoman. Ya mom was real happy bout Santa's decision on crayon type).
Did I mention that Santa really understood how much I like trains? Well that "bowl full of jelly" is welcome in my crib any time (that statement kind of makes me want a peanut butter and jelly sandwich). Anyway, I digress. He hooked me up with some fly new train books.
After a short break to let mom and dad dig into their stockings we started opening the presents under the tree. Dad must have been bad this year because I had twice as many things as he did to open. There was this really long and skinny box with my name on it, and I pulled that paper right off it. I must add that I was a little confused that a tepee came from China. India would at least have made sense since they have Indians. Must be an outsourcing thing.
So, I know dad has an engineering degree and all, but his skilz just weren't meeting my timeline. So I had to step in and provide some muscle and technical know how. Ya, this thing is like the size of ME... I'm buff!
Man, all that working really made a guy work hard. I was coming down off my sugar high and getting a little hungry. So I headed back to the sugar well for another hit.
But the hard work is well worth it. I mean, Lexus could make a car commercial out of how cool my tepee is. All my friends are going to want to come over and hang. Just look at how cool I am...
No, seriously... I'm downright badass with my tepee. I'm a chick magnet!
You know what else would make this even cooler? This tepee needs a tractor. That's right, my 5 1/2 foot tall tepee setting in the middle of my parents house is so cool it fits a tractor in it. Who's got a couple pieces of wood I can rub together? I need to get a fire going in this thing so I can start blowing smoke signals... Party at my place. Think mom and dad will let me take my naps in here?
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
Liam (oh, and my parents too)
