Sanibel Island

This post is bit late in coming (as usual!), but wanted to share our vacation pics. We spent the first week of January on beautiful Sanibel Island - off the Gulf Coast of Florida - with the Klauser family. The crew included Shawn's parents, brother Nate, sister-in-law Natalie, and our adorable little niece, Elyse, who we got to meet for the very first time. The weather was beautiful, seafood tasty, and a good time was had by all! If a lot of the photos seem to be shots of walking on the beach, picking up shells, or playing in the sand, that's because that's how we spent a lot of our time :0) I think Liam would dig in the sand all day if we'd let him, and Grandpa Mike was a good sport about the burial!

Walking with Dada.
The ocean was nice for wading, but the pool was a whole lot warmer for swimming.
Liam enjoying a story with Aunt Natalie and his cousin Elyse. We all shared a condo together right on the beach, which was wonderful for the relaxation factor.
Collecting shells with Grandma.
Our sand turtle - a work-in-progress.
Afternoon trip to my Uncle Bernie and Aunt Becky's place in N Fort Myers; they were nice enough to give us a tour by boat. We're sold on retiring and moving down now :0)
The guys spent a morning fishing and caught some most tasty sea trout.
Dads and babes out for a sunset stroll on the beach.
Is it almost summer yet? - Amelia

Great pictures, as usual. We did have a great time. We are ready to go back to some warm weather.
Is Liam ready for some more sand?

As always I was waiting for the pictures. That was a great time for all of you. I like Grandpa
Klauser in the sand. Liam is just
growing up so fast. He is a little boy now and has really lost
all the baby look. Ready for new adventures. You guys make a
wonderful looking family.
Luv Ya!
