So happy to share the news that she's here!! Greta Simone entered our world at 4:51 pm on Monday, July 27th. Compared to her lunker brother, she was a petite thing at 7 pounds 8 ounces and 20.25" long. But she must share a bit of his flare for drama as we literally checked into the hospital 5 minutes before her birth! Not my recommended route to get excitement in your life, but everybody emerged with a clean bill of health to come home last night. Now if only we could catch a bit of sleep... Here we are right after Greta's birth. Note my attire is still from the ride over (and it was plenty hot outside!). A wee bit later, catching a snooze on Shawn. Greta has sweet chubby cheeks and a semi-mohawk of medium-colored hair. Someday we'll catch a shot with her eyes open!

My parents brought Liam by for a quick visit at the hospital right before bed.

He's not sure what to think of the baby just yet, but is giving the big brother role a try (and Greta is yawning in this photo, not screaming, though her lungs are well tested, too!).

And so goes the beginning of our life as a family of four. We'll write and share more as we get things together a bit (it may be awhile!!).
