Road Trip

This past weekend we loaded up the whole crew and drove a few hours north... ...for this.

Yep, Thomas the Train was coming to town and we weren't about to miss him! Since we had to drive to Colorado to meet the little blue engine, Shawn and I figured we'd make a long weekend of it. We rented a wonderful cottage at a campground just outside of town.
Spent some time strolling the streets of Durango.
And of course, took the big ride. I failed to get any half-decent shots of Thomas himself (he was MOBBED with kids!); luckily, Liam liked the diesel at the other end of the train just as much.
Here we are boarding our passenger car.
And here's a shot of Shawn and the kids before we packed up and headed for home.Ran for home is more like it... Crabby kids and close sleeping quarters do not make for a happy family!! But the Thomas portion of the trip was a big hit, and we're determined to make these two into travelers yet :0)

Loved the pictures of your Thomas adventure. Glad Liam loved the end train----.

So sorry that it wasn't a super enjoyable trip. However, fooled me by such great and happy pictures.

Despite your few difficulties, you got some great pictures of your trip. Liam looks right in his element with the trains and Greta seems so happy to just check out all the new sights.

Looks like a fantastic trip! (And now I'm sort of dreading our camping trip scheduled for July...wonder if anyone will be getting any sleep?!)

And both Liam and Greta look adorable and happy to be in one of the best places in the SW - Durango!

Cute, cute, cute!
