Is There A Doctor In The House?
After a few nights of coughing, Greta woke up last Thursday very lethargic and wheezing. So Amelia got her an appointment with the pediatrician and I took her in. They think she had something similar to RSV and prescribed Albuterol (lucky us we had a nebulizer from Liam's infancy). It did the trick, but you can imagine how much fun it is to neb her. Then lightning struck... we needed a house call from doctor Liam.
You can see how doctor Liam proficiently takes blood pressure and preps the patient for their Albuterol treatment...
Dr. Liam observes the heart rate increasing as the Albuterol opens up the airways. Obviously, the heart of a little sister resides much lower in the abdomen that in a standard patient.
The patient started to get restless and reject the treatment options, insisting she was cured. But Dr. Liam cares deeply for his patients and insisted in having the medicine run its course. On the off chance it was necessary (better safe than sorry) multiple injections were administered gratuitously.
Its good to have a doctor in the family. -Shawn

Poor girl! I am so glad to see that she is doing better.
Way to go Dr. Liam on helping Greta feel better. Although I don't know if Elyse would go to you, doesn't look like you give suckers or stickers after your checkups :)

As for the first photo, I completely agree with Dr. Liam that the blood pressure cuff often feels as if it's on too tight. So kudos to him for knowing just what his patient needed and not creating MORE discomfort for his patient.

Sorry to hear Greta has been under the weather, but hope she's feeling better. It certainly looks like she was well taken care of by Dr. Liam. Cute pics!
Dr.Liam to the rescue, I will have to remember that next time I need a real doctor!!! Looks like Dr. Liam took pretty good care of his patient. Hope Greta is feeling much better. What does Dr. Liam think as this point?
