Predictably Fun
After the blur of summer activity, we're always happy to settle into our fall routine of favorite stuff - first chile roasting season begins, then comes the State Fair, Balloon Fiesta, pumpkin patch time, Halloween, and the beginning of endless days of raking (which we secretly enjoy on warm weekends). This year - like last - we had a fantastic time sharing a slice of the season with my parents.
Here we are bright and early, ready for some balloons.
"Spiderpig" was a new addition to the fiesta this year.
Year after year, gazing at balloons as the sun comes over the mountains never loses its allure.
Another balloon making its debut.
And this is what the sky looked like for the next couple of hours.
We hadn't had quite enough balloon action (or junk food!), so headed back to the park for a glow that evening.
Glowing balloons and fireworks to end the day.

Balloon Fiestival, the post I have been waiting to see. Glad you had a wonderful time, it looked beautiful as always. We really do need to try to make it down there to see it live.
Glad to see the time with your parents was enjoyable and memorable. Nate should have had Liam ride/drive his John Deere mower, next time, I suppose.
Thanks for sharing the pictures!
Grandpa Louie and I had a wonderful time with all of you!
My goodness those are some great pics! (Especially the last one of Greta!) Looks like a great time. I, too, love this time of year and all of the fall-season fun!
