Day Trippers
This Memorial Day weekend we spent two incredibly fun days on little trips near home (with some tasty grilling and fun with friends up the middle on Sunday!).
On Saturday we joined our pals the Greenies in taking the Rail Runner up to Santa Fe.
We made it!
And after checking out their farmers' market, taking in a long lunch (complete with some delicious sangria since nobody had to drive:0), and a little playtime in a local park, we hopped back aboard the train and made it home before dinner.
On Monday we set off for a picnic and some hiking at Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument.
The kids felt like quite the adventurers climbing on and over rocks.
And following the trail through the cool canyon portion.
I seriously love watching the kids explore the outdoors... Why are we inside so much, again?!
Finally, in case you were wondering why it's called "tent rocks"...
