Greta's 3rd Birthday

Another 365 days have past already and suddenly our "baby" girl is a big three year-old! In honor of the occasion, we spent most of the weekend celebrating Greta.

I've fallen in love with big tissue paper puffs as party decor, and made these as a surprise for Greta the night before her birthday. Martha Stewart would likely not be proud, but I am :0)

On the big morning, excitement over the "puffies" was quickly surpassed by excitement over the gifts.

And SUGAR!! We like an excuse for extra sweets around here.
A trip to a local bounce/slide/climb place and lunch with friends rounded out the festivities on Friday.
Saturday brought Greta's birthday party at the house.
And, luckily, decent weather to enjoy it outside.
The party had a loose bug theme, and involved a (plastic) bug hunt in the yard. I missed out on actual pictures during all the chaos action, but here are the nets...
"Happy Birthday" time! Liam was mighty proud of that caterpillar cake he helped me put together :0)
Before and after eating, the kiddos enjoyed some time in the front yard bouncing.
And playing in the balls. These pictures of Greta with her BFF Megan are my favorite shots of the whole party... I'm pretty sure they had a good time!!

Welcome to the wonderful world of three, Greta-No-Longer-Wants-To-Be-Called-Goo. There are plenty of adventures just waiting for you this next year, and we can't wait to watch you take them all in!
