Summer's End

It pains me to write the title of this post, but with cooler temperatures, shorter days, and school buses everywhere there's no denying that we're heading towards fall.

So we've been trying to sneak in some final summer stuff - like playing with the hose.

And heading out for a hike in sandals.
Greta wasn't really into the whole hiking thing this weekend, but was sure happy to find this little cave at the trail's end.
And she's even happier that naps are becoming optional more and more often nowadays... (Although her "quiet time" isn't very quiet!)
Slow down just a little August - I'm not ready to give you up yet!!

It pains me to read it. I too hate the thought of summer ending. Greta's naptime sounds very similar to Elyse's, but I am too stubborn to let her miss it unless for special things. I need my time :-)

Can not wait to see you all next week!

Seems that fall is already here with leaves starting to fall. Enjoy the nice days while the family can. Loved the pics.
