A Merry Little Christmas
While our Christmas is always pretty laid-back, this year's December 25th was especially quiet (ish) with just the four of us. Nonetheless, the last few days have held plenty of merriment for the New Mexico branch of the Klauser clan...
In preparation for Santa's arrival, Liam rigged up this sleigh and "reindog" (complete with actual, and slightly smashed, gifts).
With a candy cane as bait, even Greta warmed up to Santa.
Christmas Eve day included brunch and fun with friends, followed by some lounge time.
After a quick rest, we geared up to head out for some luminaria viewing.
Our house joined in the tradition (and is still standing despite the wind and fire).
The night out always ends up being a fairly late one, so we were happy when Christmas morning began at a respectable 7:00 am :0)
There were a whole lot of sweets and surprises for everyone.
We opened gifts and ate candy, then opened more gifts and ate even more candy.
After he uncovered the new Star Wars LEGO game, we lost Liam to the Wii and decided to break for breakfast.
Eventually the gift supply dwindled, and we settled in for some serious playtime.
Now the living room is knee-deep in toys, the chocolate supply has been rationed, and we're all still feeling quite jolly in spite of ourselves. Hope you are, too! -Amelia
