And Then Came the Snow

Normally, when it starts to snow in town I get very excited. We only have snow accumulation 2-3 times a year it seems. So when it started coming down Friday morning I thought it was great. Then it proceeded to snow for the next 30 hours or so. We received somewhere around 15" of snow. This was the first thing I saw walking out the back of the house to feed the dogs. A big 12" diameter branch/trunk of one of our elms. Fortunately, my brother and sister-in-law had requested turkey for Christmas, so the grill had been moved away from its storage location and was spared. The fence was not so lucky. Fortunately, this seems to be the only major damage we sustained. The house did look quite nice with all the snow. And true to their form the dogs completely enjoyed themselves. I took a couple hours in the early morning to walk around the neighborhood and take some pictures. Here are a couple of the winery that's just around the corner. Shawn
