Happiness is a butterfly...

“Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you”

-Nathaniel Hawthorne

This quote struck me with significance as I reviewed the images for this posting. Particularly as I look at what's likely to be the last time Liam is cocoon wrapped (or burrito wrap as we call it in the Southwest). He's had his 4 month appointment and he weighed in at over 2X his birth weight (or about 17lbs 8oz). Let's just agree that he won't be floating like a butterfly anytime soon.

In the last month or so Liam has become quite attached to his "dog." So much so that we had to identify backup dogs in the event that dog #1 has some sort of accident. In our quest we also commandeered "horse." He was on clearance for 50% off :-)

Who could say no to a face like this???

For those that haven't seen this modern marvel of technology, Liam is setting in a Bumbo seat. This is one of the coolest things since sliced bread. We take it with us when we go out to eat. He picks up all kinds of chicks. Here he models the use of the Bumbo to play with his gym.

No dog riding yet, but Liam is starting to grab at the pets... mostly the cat gets it since she has not yet figured out that all attention is not good attention!
