Pun fully intended because we love celebrating the 4th of July around here! And even better to share it with Shawn's parents in town.
First, some kiddo pics. Gone were the smiles and kisses of last year's photo shoot...
Then the annual parade.
And, of course, fireworks. This year's show looked a little iffy, with the rain falling while we waited for the sun to set.
But the clouds rolled out just in time for plenty of "oohs" and "aahs".
The next day included a stroll to the park.
And a bit of time at the pool (before the storm behind us rolled in dumping some MAJOR rain!).
We always have time for walks/rides,
rests,
and stories.
But the kids kept a safe distance from Raggedy Ann... (who kept trying to sabotage my pictures with Shawn's help!)
The weekend brought a visit to the gardens.
And some early birthday gift opening for lucky Ms. Greta.
Her "puter" from Grandma and Grandpa is a BIG hit.

Oh my word, do the kids look so grown up, especially Greta on the rock. Miss them so much.
